Teach First Rebrand

Brand

The project

In early 2018 Teach First decided to undergo a rebrand. With a new CEO at the helm and a revised strategy, the Brand and Creative team sought to revamp the charities corporate style and simplify a convoluted brand architecture.

The new identity presented a charity with a broadened role and positioned Teach First as a facilitator and driver of change in education and society.

The process

Colourful ‘building blocks’ feature prominently throughout the identity, assembling to form the monogram logo and acting as a visual metaphor for the charities refreshed purpose ‘Building a fair education for all’.

Alongside contributing to the development and implementation of the rebrand, I lead on the delivery of the new photographic style, writing creative briefs and art directing photoshoots in Teach First schools. The resulting imagery was visually striking and playful, placing children at the heart of the charities work, injecting their character, energy and potential into designs.

I designed assets and animated GIFs for Teach First’s digital channels, alongside a strategy for applying the new brand across social media channels.
